Saturday, 11:08 a.m. - Stephanie Goff, 41, of Fairborn, Ohio was traveling west on Interstate 70 in a 2009 blue Honda when she struck a deer in the roadway. Total damage was estimated between $2,501 and $5,000.
Saturday, 12:36 p.m. - Scott Fausnaugh of Kennard was traveling south on Kennard Road in a white Chevrolet Cavalier when he attempted to avoid hitting an oncoming vehicle head-on. The vehicle then left the roadway and went through a fence. An adult female and three children passengers ranging in ages from one month to three years were transported to Hancock Regional Hospital for minor injuries. Fausnaugh was treated for an abrasion to his lower left eye socket. Total damage was estimated between $10,000 and $20,000.
Monday, 10:31 a.m. - Darrell J. Cummings of New Castle was turning his motorcycle at the corner of Ind. 3 and Ind. 38 when he hit loose gravel and laid the bike down. Cummings suffered a laceration above his left eye and abrasions on his hands and wrists. Cummings refused medical treatment at the scene. Total damage was estimated at $800.
Sunday, 1:54 p.m. - Teri Hill, 22, of New Castle was arrested at 2512 Plum St. on two counts of theft, class D felony.
Monday, 3:43 a.m. - Nelson Kinchen, 26, of New Castle was arrested for domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a crime at 325 S. 12th St.
Monday, 1:41 p.m. - Gary Gulley of Spiceland was arrested for intimidation and driving with a suspended license at 405 Maple Ave.
Monday, 11:51 a.m. - Rickey D. Huckaby of New Castle told police a $500 digital camera and a $125 police scanner was stolen from his vehicle at 941 S. 15th St.
Monday, 10:03 a.m. - Hamburger Heaven, 1809 H Ave., reported a window air conditioner unit was stolen from their building.
Monday, 9:58 p.m. - Mitzi Rees of New Castle told police two bicycles and a lawn mower were stolen from her yard, 1226 S. 19th St. Total value was estimated at $300.
