New Castle Lodge No, 91 of Free & Accepted Masons hosted their annual Christmas luncheon on Sunday, Dec. 1 at the Masonic Lodge to honor widows. Following the meal, guests were entertained with Christmas carols sung by the New Castle High School Madrigal Singers and directed by John Doty. Each guest received a gift bag of useful items from the lodge. seventeen ladies attended.

Henry County Community Band presents A Festival of Carols Christmas Concert:2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at the New Castle-Henry County Public Library Auditorium, 376 S. 15th St. New Castle. Musical features include traditional Christmas favorites, a selection from the Nutcracker will be presented by the flute section and there will be an opportunity for those attending the concert to sing Christmas carols. For the past five years, Huffman Family Chiropractic has been reaching into the Henry County community to assist those who need a helping hand. The tradition continues this Christmas season.
The office partners with the Christian Love Center in receiving names. These are families that will not receive help from any other source this season. Dr. Joe Huffman and his staff have a tree in the office decorated with the names of local children showing their Christmas wishes.
Anyone wishing to help make Christmas special for these children may come and pick up the details at the office from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Huffman Family Chiropractic is located at 2021 S. Memorial Drive, New Castle, between Myer's Furniture and Webb's.
All gifts need to be returned to Huffman's by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16. The staff members say they can be flexible too, if someone is willing to help. Anyone not wishing to do the wrapping is encouraged to participate anyway and the staff members will do the wrapping. Monetary donations are welcome and the staff members will do the shopping.
