Cambridge City Family Health Partners to construct new building

Construction will begin in July on a new office for the growing practice at Cambridge City Family Health Partners, a Henry Community Health Medical Group primary care office. The new office will be located on the lot adjacent to their office at 415 East Main, Cambridge City.

“Thanks to the community for their tremendous support, we’ve outgrown our current space. Constructing this new building will allow us to grow in concert with the needs of the community and expand our ability to meet future healthcare needs,” said Brian Ring, Chief Operating Officer at Henry Community Health. The practice is part of Henry Community Health located in New Castle.

Ring explains the new 5,000 square foot office building will have nine exam rooms and a multipurpose room. Separate rooms will house lab and x-ray.

“With this increased space, we can expand our access for primary care and perhaps in the future add specialty care,” Ring said.

During construction, the current office will remain open. When the new building opens in early 2020, the current office will be torn down to expand the parking lot.

“As a lifetime resident of Fayette County, I have always felt blessed to be able to provide healthcare services to my friends and neighbors here in the Cambridge City office,” said Billie Geise, MSN, FNP-BC. “With the recent changes in health services in the surrounding counties, it is reassuring that Henry Community Health has committed to investing in the area.”

“Our patients and staff really like the feeling of a small-town community setting. They also like having a provider in their hometown that offers extended hours,” says Rebecca Strunk, FNP-BC. “I am excited because we will now have x-ray and a separate lab area in addition to gaining a lot more space making it more convenient for both patients and staff.”

Cambridge City Family Health Partners cares for infants, children, adolescents, teens and adults. Their hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 am-noon Saturday. Same day appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome.

Experienced nurse practitioners Geise and Strunk are available to treat chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure as well as minor injuries and illness. They provide well-child care and school, sports and camp physicals.

Occupational Medicine services are available including, on-the-job injuries, instant and lab based drug screens, TB skin and flu tests, pre-employment physicals and employer based health maintenance and wellness exams.

Henry Community Health specialty care includes cardiology, orthopedics, ob/gyn, general surgery, wound care, pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation.

“Being a part of Henry Community Health makes it easy for us to refer patients who need more specialized care to our excellent and highly skilled surgeons and physicians in New Castle,” Geise explains.

Henry Community Health has been recognized by Healthgrades for being in the top 5 percent in the nation for five years in a row for Outstanding Patient Experience. Becker’s Hospital Review has named them as one of the 100 Great Community Hospitals for 2016, 2017, 2018.
