Burgers and hotdogs help buy shoes for children

The New Castle Henry County Kiwanis Club has many fundraisers coming up. All of the proceeds from fundraisers will go towards the Kiwanis Club Shoe Program.

Last year, the NC/HC Kiwanians gave away over 450 pairs of shoes for children right here in Henry County.

Kiwanis club members will be serving food at the New Castle Concert Series concerts at the Arts Park. The menu will be bacon cheeseburgers, cheeseburgers, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks. The Kiwanians will be serving food at the July 19 (Mike Milligan) concert, the August 16 (Jennie DeVoe) concert and September 20 (Carl Storie) concert. All concerts start at 7:00 p.m. are are free to the public.

The Kiwanians will also be serving food at the New Castle/Henry County Airport Fly In/Car Show again this year. The fly in/car show is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at the New Castle Henry County Airport Marlatt Field, 2912 E. County Road 400S. Food will be served during this time. The airport will also be offering plane rides.
