New Castle man arrested for alleged meth lab

Tuesday evening, an ongoing drug investigation by the Henry County Drug Task Force and Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section led to the arrest of a New Castle man and the discovery of an alleged meth lab.

Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers served a search warrant on a home and vehicle in the 900 block of Thornburg Street.

As a result of the search, a meth lab was reportedly discovered in a vehicle in front of the home.

Christopher Dagley, 46, was arrested and preliminarily charged with Level 5 felony manufacturing methamphetamine and Level 6 felonies possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors used to make methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a hypodermic syringe.

The Henry County Drug Task Force consists of officers from the New Castle Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police.

Officers were assisted in their investigation by Indiana State Parole, Pendleton District Troopers, Drug Enforcement Section Meth Certified Troopers and Henry County Prosecutor Joe Bergacs.
