Arrest information, including the name, age, address and criminal charges, are obtained from police media reports. All suspects are presumed innocent until found guilty in court.

Aug. 9

Johnny Bryant, 50, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

Danielle Rogers, 33, was arrested on a warrant for residential entry, battery on a person less than 14 years old and criminal mischief.

Charles Williams, 50, was arrested on a preliminary charge of criminal trespass.

Trace Byers, 26, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery on a peace officer.

New Castle police officers in the area of the 1000 block of P Avenue responded to the sound of screaming. A juvenile was walking her grandparents dog and another canine got loose and she thought it would harm her. The officers were in the area and heard the juvenile’s screams. The officers returned the loose canine to its owner without incident. They then walked walked the juvenile home and advised her grandparents of the incident.

Aug. 10

Justin Hoover, 30, was arrested on preliminary charges of public intoxication and criminal recklessness.

Melissa Lopez, 42, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a Schedule 4 controlled substance, driving while suspended and reckless driving.

Taliesya Foster, 26, was arrested on preliminary charges of conversion and possession of a narcotic drug.

Wyatt Burchett, 23, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

New Castle police officers opened a locked door on an SUV with a child inside in the 2000 block of P Avenue. The engine was turn off and the windows were up.

A man was reportedly pointing a green laser at parked New Castle police cars in the 2000 block of Poplar Avenue while officers were on a neighbor dispute involving threats with a weapon. The man was detained, identified and the laser was taken as evidence and advised of the state law regarding lasers and pointing them at Police Officers. The man was was released with no charges filed at this time.

Aug. 11

Daniel Fultz, 33, was arrested on preliminary charges of failure to identify and public intoxication.

Yulanda Smith, 47, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.
