Lois Jean Lovell

Lois Jean Lovell, 91, of Knightstown, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at Morristown Manor. She was born September 10, 1927 in Wayne, Nebraska, a daughter of Leslie and Edna (Bailey) Low.

Lois’ family moved to Knightstown in 1932. She attended Knightstown School then worked at Delco Remy in Anderson for over 36 years. She attended Spiceland Church of the Nazarene and Knightstown Wesleyan Church for 50 years.

She is survived by her sister, Patty Low (Tom) Cooper of Greenfield; children, Jimmy Lovell of Franklin, Lucinda (Michael) Gross of North Vernon, David Lovell of Grayson, Kentucky; grandchildren; James Lovell of New Castle, Amy (Denvie) Angel of Indianapolis, Shawnda (Rob) Whitfield of Carthage, Jordan Lovell of Shelbyville; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Lovell; two brothers, Leon and Ted Low; and sister, Carol Johnson.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Roger Abraham officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
