Westwood Wildcats on track for WEC program

Westwood Elementary School students enjoy a congratulatory pizza party to celebrate the hard work they put into earning their Governor’s Work Ethic Certificate.

Westwood Elementary School had 22 sixth grade students meet the mid-year qualifications for the Governor’s Work Ethic Certificate (WEC) Program.

The following students met the mid-year qualifications for GPA, discipline, and attendance for first semester: Patrick Gentry, Terrick Guffey, Ishmine Heera, Jacob Jenkins, Brooke Linville, Lauren Lunt, Taylor Round, Dillon Smitherman, Augustus Upchurch, Mattie Vaught, Payton Dolce, Lucie Broyles, Kristin Dickey, Morley Blessinger, Emma Hart, Anthony Langston, Mark Nelson, Marshall Snell, Kelsey Walker, Lily Farmer, Laney Burke and Ryah Hines.

The students met with Career Center Director Chris Lamb and Work Ethic Program Manager Todd York for a pizza party.

The Henry County Community Foundation and Mancino’s helped make the celebration possible.
