Second-annual Tri Kappa Author Luncheon: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, doors open 10:30 a.m. First Baptist Fellowship Hall, 709 S. Memorial Drive, New Castle. Tickets are available at the door for $25 which includes the meal and hearing from five authors. Signed books available for purchase by the authors. Ticket proceeds benefit Tri Kappa Scholarship Fund.

First Christian Church’s six-week study continues through March 25: based on Mike Slaughter’s book, “Made for a Miracle, From Your Ordinary to God’s Extraordinary.” By examining biblical examples of how to use God-given gifts for God’s glory, author-pastor Mike Slaughter helps people discover how they were made for a miracle. Class times: 9 a.m. Sundays, 6:30 p.m. Mondays and 10 a.m. Tuesdays. Rev. Alecia Gross continues the conversation with a six-week sermon series. Public is invited. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Little Free Library: Opens March 15. Located in the front yard of the church, 535 S. 14th Street. A Little Free Library is a community book exchange. It belongs to everyone and everyone is welcome to use it! Take a book, share it with a friend or return it.
