Fire department pulled pork dinner is April 21

The Blountsville/Stoney Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department will host its third annual pulled pork dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 21 in the Stoney Creek Township Community Building, 7292 E. US Hwy 35 S., Losantville.

Adult meals are $8 and include pulled pork, baked potato, green beans, applesauce, dessert and a drink. Children’s hot dog meals are $4.

Proceeds from the pulled pork dinner will go to help buy emergency, rescue and medical equipment for the Blountsville/Stoney Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department.

The volunteer fire fighters are asking area church congregations to donate pies and/or cakes for dessert, as well as kitchen and serving line volunteers.

“In past years, some area congregations have chosen to help us with a monetary donation to help defray some of the costs of the dinner or for the equipment fund and, if possible, we appreciate your help in this way,” said Blountsville/Stoney Creek Township Volunteer Fire Chief Michael Lykens.

For more information about the dinner, about volunteering or donating desserts, contact Lykens at 765-774-4341.
