New Castle 172, Rushville 210

The Trojans traveled south Monday and defeated the host Lions by 38 strokes.


New Castle 7, Lapel 3

The Trojans traveled to western Madison County Monday evening and defeated the host Bulldogs to improve their record to 19-6 for the season.

New Castle took a 5-0 lead in the game and had nine hits to Lapel’s seven.

The Trojans traveled to Franklin County Tuesday evening.

Knightstown 10, Union City 7

The Panthers hosted the Indians Monday evening and defeated them by three runs to improve to 4-3 in the Tri-Eastern Conference and 11-11 overall.

Knightstown grabbed an early 6-2 advantage, but Union City came back to tie the game 6-all with three runs in the top of the fourth inning. The Panthers responded with three runs in the bottom of that frame to take the lead for good.

Knightstown had 12 hits in the contest to the Indians’ nine. The game was plagued with errors, as the teams combined to commit 13 of them.

The Panthers travel to Wapahani this evening for a non-conference game.
