Perdue leaves Blue River

By TRAVIS WEIK - tweik@thecouriertimes.com

Blue River Valley Jr./Sr. High School is looking for a new principal.

Adam Perdue, who has led BRV High School since 2015, recently accepted a position as the new principal of Wes-Del Middle/High School in Delaware County.

The Wes-Del Community School Board of Trustees approved Perdue as their new high school principal June 27.

Perdue graduated from Blue River in 2003 and rejoined the Viking family as a principal three years ago this week.

Blue River Valley Schools Superintendent Eric Creviston called Perdue “one of the most effective educational change agents” he had seen during his career.

“He (Perdue) and the high school staff have done a very effective job of taking the school in the right direction,” Creviston said. “The whole team there has improved the quality and culture of the school, and the community has let us know they appreciate it.”

BRV has started the recruiting process and already has many applicants, Creviston said.

An official principal will not be in place until Creviston takes a recommendation to the school board Aug. 13.

Blue River Valley Jr./Sr. High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Steve Hoskins will act as interim school principal until a permanent administrator is hired.

Specific details about the BRV high school principal job posting are available at www.brv.k12.in.us.
