Kenneth Marven Daniels

Kenneth Marven Daniels, 90, of Tucson, Arizona, peacefully passed away on September 9, 2018. He was at home, in the presence of his loved ones.

Ken was born on November 4, 1927 in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. He was a son of the late Marven and Olive (Pickels) Daniels.

At the young age of 14 he became an Apprentice for Boyles Bros. Drilling Company, which led to his successful career as a Machinist.

As an adult Ken moved to the United States and became a U.S. citizen on April 23, 1959. In California, he opened and ran his own machine shop for many years. He was also an accomplished inventor and did Mill work for the U.S. Military.

Ken loved to travel. In some of his traveling he did work and witness trips to Mexico and New Zealand. Some of his other hobbies, over the years, included hang gliding, golfing, and recreational piloting.

Ken was known for his witty humor and his love for animals. One of his most precious treasures was his beloved dog, Peaches.

Ken is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shelley Daniels (Quinton); three daughters, Penny Daniels of Canada, Wendy Daniels of Castroville, California and Amy (husband: Jeremy) O’Brien of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren, Kelton Brice and Diamond Boswell both of Tucson Arizona.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 14, 2018 at Sproles Family Funeral Home in New Castle, IN. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.

Friends may call from 12:00 pm noon until the time of service Friday.
