Hagerstown 50, Tri 0 (JV)

The junior varsity Tigers shut out the Titans Monday night. Hagerstown’s Kadence Roman-Tyler threw touchdown passes of 10 and 59 yards to Shane Ayotte and Logan Hinton, respectively and scored a TD on a 36-yard run.

Ayotte had on a six-yard TD run, Hunter Marshall had a 29-yard TD run, and Sam Houck scored touchdowns on runs of two and 12 yards. Brock Grose and Houck scored on two-points conversions and Roman-Tyler had a pair of two-point conversions. Carter House recovered a fumble on defense and Marshall recovered a muffed kickoff return.

The Tigers raised their record to 3-2 on the season and finish the 2018 season Saturday at Northeastern with game time at 10 a.m.


Knightstown 3, Indianapolis Howe 0

The Panthers traveled to the capital city last Thursday night and defeated the host Hornets in straight sets 25-17, 25-10, 25-10 to end the regular season with a record of 13-18.

Leaders for Knightstown were Paige Personett with five aces, six kills, and a dig; Maggie Smith with five aces, four kills and three digs; Alyssa Northern with three aces, an assist, a dig, and three kills; Rena’ Witham with six kills and 16 assists; Sierra Heady with four aces; Cara Mullen with two aces; Hailey Marshall with four kills; and Alicia Knapp with a kill.

The Panthers and Howe will square off again in Class 2A Sectional 42 Thursday evening in Knightstown.
