Players are honored at Trojan boys soccer banquet

C-T STAFF REPORT

The New Castle High School boys soccer team held its honors and awards banquet last Thursday night at Mancino’s in New Castle.

Among the varsity awards bestowed, Mr. Practice went to Logan Pate, Most Improved Player went to Isaac French, the Offensive Player of the Year was Jackson Malott (10 goals, three assists for a total of 23 points), and the Defensive Player of the Year was Brayden Ring.

The Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Top Team Player award went to Jarel Coatie and the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Academic All-State honorees (junior or senior varsity player with accumulative G.P.A. of 3.7 or above) were Andrew Glover, Corbin Madden, Jackson Malott, and Austin Morgan.

The United Soccer Coaches Senior Excellence Award went to Austin Hart and Hoosier Heritage Conference (All-Conference) honors went to Jarel Coatie and Jackson Malott.

The Hoosier Heritage Conference (Academic All-Conference) honors for any sophomore, junior, or senior varsity letterman with a G.P.A. in the top five percent of his class went to Andrew Glover, Corbin Madden, Jackson Malott, Austin Morgan, and Brayden Ring.

Scott Loveless received the Coach Greg Crider Legacy Award.

For the Trojan junior varsity, the Most Improved Player award went to Ethan Catron, Offensive Player of the Year was Tony Yousak, and Defensive Player of the Year was Brady Firle.
