Girls Basketball

Tri 42, Liberty Christian 34

The Titan girls traveled to Anderson Thursday night and defeated the host Lions by eight points to improve to 4-3 for the season.

Leading the way for Tri were Averi Phelps and Kaley Harrison with 18 and eight points, respectively. Maddie Burchett led the team in steals with four and Harrison added five assists. Phelps also led the team in rebounding with 10 boards.

The Lady Titans will next be in action Wednesday as they host Randolph Southern. That will be a 6 p.m. junior varsity tip-off with the varsity game to follow.

Hagerstown 39, Cowan 34

The Tiger girls hosted the Blackhawks Thursday night and defeated them by five points to improve to 2-5 for the season.

Hagerstown played at Eastern Hancock Saturday.
