Redevelopment Commission executive session Monday

The Henry County Redevelopment Commission (RDC) will meet in executive session at 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 in the Community Center conference room, 100 S. Main St., New Castle. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss strategy with respect to the purchase or lease of real property, and interviews and negotiations with industrial or commercial prospects. The regular RDC business meeting will follow at 1 p.m.

Long-term planning public presentation Jan. 17

The New Castle Community School Corporation long-term planning task force will host a public presentation at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 in the New Castle Middle School community room. The presentation will be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions and raise concerns about the proposed plan the task force has prepared for the New Castle School Board. The final presentation will go before the school board Feb. 11.

Castle Heights Residential Council meeting Jan. 29

Residents in the Castle Heights neighborhood (A Ave to I Ave., bordered on the west by S. 14th Street and the east by S. 19th Street) are invited to a public meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1727 Grand Ave. A light meal will be provided. The meeting will focus on a project to enhance Castle Heights in many ways such as, beautification projects, improved housing and enhanced city services, including recreation.
