Local students wanted to dance like Cinderella

Hazel Estelle of New Castle appeared as a mice in "The Nutcracker." Her older sister, Helen, also dances.

Cinderella Ballet Dance Camp classes meet March through May. The 10-class session will prepare dancers to perform in a full production show of Cinderella. Classes are for children age 3 and up. Register at: goo.gl/forms/GnhjKEbAYLuLZvu43.

Lisa Love invites dancers to join Cinderella Ballet Dance Camp. They will perform "Cinderella" with Muncie Ballet Studio on Sunday, May 19 at Cornerstone Center for the Arts.

A special Mothers Day Tea will highlight dancers in the New Castle-Henry County Public Library on Sunday, May 12. Dancers may wear leggings and a T or a leotard and tights with ballet slippers.

Classes will meet Saturdays. Pre-kindergarten ages 3-5 meets 2:45-3:15 p.m.; K-2 ages 5-7 meets 3:15-4 p.m. and grade 3 and up age 7 and up meets 4-4:45 p.m.

The schedule is: March 23, 30, April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4, 1, May 12 Mother's Day Tea with dance performance at 1:30 p.m. (Free and open to the public.)

Also May 15, Cornerstone Stage rehearsal 6-7 p.m. May 16, School Matinee at Cornerstone Center for the Arts 9:30 a.m. Performance (school reservations only).

May 19, Cornerstone Center for the Arts, 2 p.m. performance. 

Class fee is $36 each month of the program and includes costume rental, and two free tickets to the final production, May 19 (ticketed event. parents receive two free tickets for the performance). Class fee dates are March 23, April 6 and May 4.
