Boys Basketball

Centerville 62, Blue River Valley 60

The Vikings traveled to the center of Wayne County Friday night, were edged by the host Bulldogs by two point, and dropped to 10-8 for the season. 

Blue River travels to Eastern Hancock Tuesday night for a Mid-Eastern Conference contest.

Northeastern 91, Tri 42

The Titans traveled to Fountain City Friday night and were defeated by the host Knights by 49 points to slip to 0-6 in the Tri-Eastern Conference and 2-14 for the season.

Tri plays at Seton Catholic Tuesday night.

New Castle 53, Delta 34 (9th)

The Trojan freshmen traveled to Royerton Friday night as part of a tripleheader with the host Eagles and defeated them by 19 points to improve to 7-7 for the season.

New Castle had some very balanced scoring, as Sam Maddy led the team with 13 points, followed by Aydan Petty with 12, Dawson Scott 11, Bryce Jenkins eight, Kyler Sears seven, and Kaeden Riggs rounding out the scoring with two points.

The freshman Trojans will play their last game of the season by hosting Shelbyville Wednesday in the Fieldhouse.

Jr. High/Middle School Girls Basketball

Tri 53, New Castle 40 (8th)

The Titan 8th-grade girls improved their record to 8-2 for the season after defeating the visiting Trojans Thursday night.

Bailey Parham had a double double for Tri, as she led her team in scoring with 27 points, crashed the boards for 18 rebounds and had five steals.

Also for the Titans, Mariah Wilson had 10 points, a rebound and three steals; Abi Clarke had seven points, 13 rebounds, and two steals; Amber Rich had five points, three rebounds and five steals; Lexi Raley had four points and two rebounds; Annabelle Searcy had two points, two rebounds, and three steals; and Anna Moss had a rebound and a steal.

No individual parameters about the New Castle girls were submitted.

New Castle 34, Tri 31 (7th)

The host 7th-grade Titans lost by three points to the Trojans Thursday evening

Scoring for Tri were Rylee Boyd with 11 points, Kennadi Knepley eight, Nevaeh Elliott four, Paige Robertson and Destiny McGlothin three apiece, and Trinity Mettert two.

No scoring totals were submitted for New Castle.
