Tri competes at BPA state

Daryl Firth, left, and Cameron Turner qualified for BPA nationals at this weekend’s state competition.

The Tri High School Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter had nineteen individuals attend State competition in Indianapolis over the weekend. Titan Brittany Alvarez carried out state officer duties and two others, Cameron Turner and Daryl Frith, qualified for nationals.

Turner qualified for nationals for the second straight year by finishing third in Fundamental Word Processing and second in Advanced Accounting. Frith qualified in Advanced Accounting by finishing third in the state.

Nationals are May 1-5 in Anaheim, Calif. The students are planning fundraisers to help with the costs of the trip.
