Anderson Speedway Songwriter Honored

Anderson songwriter Steve Wallace, who has gained worldwide recognition for his song “Anderson Speedway,” which he wrote, has been honored by State Rep. Terri J. Austin and the Indiana House Of Representatives.

Austin proclaims, “Steve is one of those heroes who gives back to the place where he lives, and he is worthy of this type of recognition.”

Anderson Speedway President Rick Dawson said, “We are proud of Steve and honored he would think enough of Anderson Speedway to write a song about it.”

Wallace has been recognized for many selfless acts, including donating song royalties to organizations such as the American Cancer Society,  Austin said in a press release.

Wallace has Dystonia, a neurological disorder that affects his muscles and speech. This makes his accomplishments and charitable endeavors even more impressive, according to Austin.
