Celebrating first 50 years of Titan pride

By TRAVIS WEIK - editor@thecouriertimes.com

Tri High School is turning 50, and the party is about to get started.

As part of the celebration commemorating Tri High’s first 50 years, the Tri Alumni Association has a series of events planned for 2019 leading up to the Titan homecoming game Sept. 14.

The entire South Henry community and surrounding area are invited and encouraged to participate in all activities, including a spring bazaar and a reunion tour car and bike show.

Spring Bazaar/Easter Egg Hunt

The festivities start April 20 with a Spring Bazaar and Easter Egg Hunt at Tri High School, 6927 S. Ind. 103.

The bazaar runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature crafts, food items and other things to see and do. The Easter egg hunt takes place from 10-11 a.m.

Tri Riders Reunion Tour/Car & Bike Show

The Tri Riders Car and Bike Reunion Tour will meet April 27 at the Henry County YMCA. Registration is 9-10:15 a.m. that day and then a vast array of special motorcycles and cars will take off for an excursion consisting of various businesses and other places around the community.

The Car and Bike Reunion Tour will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end up at Tri High between 12:30 and 1 pm. Following the Reunion Tour, there will be a car and bike show at Tri High.

At Tri High, there will be DJ, cookout, silent auction and merchandise available commemorating and celebrating the first 50 years of Titan pride.

Registration is $20 for a car or bike and includes door prizes and a meal at the cookout at Tri High.
