New story at Trail Tales

The New Castle-Henry County Public Library has installed the book “Our Tree Named Steve” by Alan Zweibel to Trail Tales at Memorial Park. The pages of the book are spread out at stations along the trail, encouraging young readers to “jump to the next station” or answer a question about the story.

Township advisory board meets April 22

The Wayne Township Advisory Board will meet at 7 p.m. April 22 at the Knightstown Fire Department, 28 S. Washington St. to review bids for cemetery maintenance.

Lincoln Day Dinner rescheduled

The Henry County Republican Central Committee announced Wednesday the 2019 Lincoln Day Dinner will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, May 3 at The Gathering, 902 E. Main St. (US 40), Lewisville. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

Speaker will be Indiana’s First Lady Janet Holcomb. Individual tickets are $30, tables of eight are $200, and tables of eight with digital signage credits are $220.
