New jail construction under way
NEW JAIL CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY
Big trucks and heavy equipment are common sights across from the New Castle Correctional Facility on Van Nuys Road as construction activities ramp up on the new Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center. The new facility will be located on Van Nuys Road across from the New Castle Correctional Facility. The 246-bed facility will be constructed on a six-acre site given to the county by the state.
