Cathy Morris will conclude the “Live @ The Arts Park” Henry County Concert Series on Friday, Sept. 17, at the Arts Park Pavilion.
Opening act Brian Winchester will start the evening’s entertainment at 6:30 p.m. Morris will follow, bringing a unique sound as one of the most well-known electric violinists currently performing. Her brand of “party jazz” is popular with all ages.
“Cathy Morris is a very talented, engaging performer,” said fellow musician and Concert Series board member Marty Weaver. “She also runs the Arts with a Purpose organization that brings music and instruments to schools and the general public.”
Morris will be joined by her band, which consists of some of Indianapolis’ most revered musicians including Steve Dokken on bass and Tony Medeiros on drums. Dokken has toured internationally with the Henry Mancini Orchestra and Medeiros is a certified music therapist.
All ages are welcome to attend the free concert, and donations will be accepted at the event for future concerts. The audience is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, and coolers are allowed.
