The Henry County Republican Central Committee announced Wednesday that they are looking for replacements for the Lewisville and Springport town boards.

Springport board member Chandus Spradlin passed away recently, creating a vacancy on that board.

“We are thankful to Mr. Spradlin for his years of service on the town board and share in the family’s grief,” said Henry County Republican Chairman Todd Hiday.

The Henry County Republican Party will begin the process of replacing Spradlin on the town board. Any Republican in good standing, who resides within the town limits of Springport, wishing to put their name in nomination for this position must send a letter of intent to Henry Republican County Chairman, Todd Hiday at 1111 Crescent Dr., New Castle, IN 47362 and should be received no later than Wednesday, Sept. 29.

All letters received will be reviewed by the County Central Committee and the precinct committeeman in Prairie 1 Precinct.

Sue Saunders has resigned her position on the Lewisville Town Board.

“Mrs. Saunders was a valuable Republican who served on the Lewisville Town Board faithfully over the past year and her insight will be missed,” Hiday said.
