Library patrons can now borrow wireless hotspots

New Castle-Henry County Public Library is now offering mobile internet hotspots for adult library cardholders to check out. The library’s mobile hotspots provide unlimited data, allowing patrons to use the internet while at home or traveling.

Five hotspots are available, and each come with a carrying case for protection. Patrons may check out the devices for one week. If there are no holds on the hotspots, the items may be renewed for an additional week.

“We’re looking forward to offering this service free to anyone age 18 or over who has a valid Evergreen library card,” said New Castle-Henry County Public Library Director Winnie Logan. “With 4G data speeds and unlimited data, the hotspots will provide users with the ability to surf and stream to their heart’s content.”

The devices are available at the library’s main service desk and can be placed on hold if they are not immediately available.

Overdue fines are $2 per day, and if a hotspot is lost or damaged, the cost is $75.
