Vendors will be welcome back to the Broad Street Cruise Ins this upcoming Saturday and for the rest of the 2021 cruise ins.

The Courier-Times spoke with Cruise In Board President Jeff Cross on the vendors coming back for the New Castle events.

“It feels good to have some vendors back for our May cruise in for sure,” Cross said. “We have many attendees that also enjoy having them available to enjoy during our cruise ins.”

“There is not a specific list of vendors currently available for May yet, as we are still getting calls and so forth,” Cross added.

The free community events are from 5-9 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month from April to October.

Cross is excited to have vendors back, but more importantly, he’s happier that the cruise ins are taking place.

“We always enjoy being outside, seeing all the cars, trucks and motorcycles, each of our board members, our friends, family and all of the attendees from all around that share each cruise night with us,” he said.

Cross also mentioned that there will not be a feature vehicle for the May Cruise In.

“There is no feature vehicle for May, as it will be an open cruise in night as last months was.” Cross said.

June 5 kicks off the summer part of the Cruise-in schedule, followed by July 3 and then into Aug. 7.

The final two cruise-ins will take place on Sept. 4 and finally finishing the year of 2021 with the Oct. 2 cruise-in.

Vendors should know they will not have access to electricity, according to the Cruise in Facebook page.
