Danny H. Nolan, age 76, of Anderson, Indiana went to be with his Savior on January 14, 2021 in Columbus, Indiana due to complications of COVID. He was born to Ben and Doris (Penticuff) Nolan in Celina, Tennessee on November 23, 1944.

Danny worked at Guide Lamp and retired after 30 years. He was a proud union official for 18 of those years at Guide. Dan’s favorite pass time was to “monkey” with his antique clocks when he was at home. He was a clockmaster with them and worked on many for friends and family over 50 years. Later, Dan accepted Christ as his Savior and became the head groundkeeper and co-head trustee at his church, Crossroads United Methodist Church in Anderson. Dan took care of the weekly mowing and attending to the 17 acres there at Crossroads with his father-in-law, Don Bemish always on the second mower beside him. Dan used to say: “This is the way I worship God, all this beauty out here, we’re blessed!”

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, of 17 years, Terri (Bemish) Nolan; two sons, Greg Nolan, Middletown, Matt Bemish (Lana) Daleville, one daughter, Dana Nolan, Middletown; mother-ini-law, Patty Bemish; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Chapple, Judy Barber, Kris Jolley, Teannie Triplett; brother-in-law, Phil Jolly; grandchildren, Wyatt (Maddie) Baldwin, Daniel Painter, Meredith Caroline Nolan; Also, a host of special and loved nieces and nephews.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Stan Sexton; mother of his children and wife of 30 years, Caroline Nichols Nolan; a brother, Jim Triplett; his best friend, father-in-law, Don Bemish; brother-in-law, John Bemish; sister-in-law, Rhonda Sue Bemish Halsee; Also, dear friends, Gary Johnson and Donnie Schnaitter.

A Celebration of Danny’s life will take place on June 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. It will be held in the Prayer Garden at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 2000 North Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, In 46012. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan’s name can be made to the memorial fund at Crossroads UMC.
