With Indiana Little League Baseball District 6 Tournament play concluded, three local teams now ready themselves for state tournament play at three different venues.
All tournaments are double-elimination.
The New Castle 12s will have their Little League State Tournament from July 20-25 at Munster Little League in the northwest corner of the state.
Munster is in the Central Time Zone, so all times listed are CDT, one hour behind New Castle.
New Castle is in Pool B and begins tournament play Tuesday, July 20 against Broad Ripple at 1 p.m. CDT in Field D.
Should New Castle win that game, it will advance to the winners’ bracket and play an opponent Thursday, July 22 at 9 a.m. CDT on Field D.
If New Castle loses to Broad Ripple, it will play an opponent in the losers’ bracket Wednesday, July 21 at 10 a.m. CDT on Field D.
The Pool B championship game is Saturday, July 24 at noon CDT on Field A, and the championship game to determine who will advance to the Great Lakes Regional is Sunday, July 25 at 11 a.m. CDT on Field A.
The Munster Little League complex is located at 8601 Calumet Ave., just north of Munster High School.
Hagerstown is in the state tournament for those ages 8-10, which is being held July 21-26 at Broad Ripple Haverford Little League in Indianapolis.
Hagerstown is in Pool B and opens tourney play Wednesday, July 21 against HYR (District 5) at 3 p.m. EDT on Field 2
Should Hagerstown win that game, it will play an opponent in the winners’ bracket Friday, July 23 at 3 p.m. EDT on Field 2.
If Hagerstown falls to HYR, it will play either Don Ayers LL or Broad Ripple in a losers’ bracket game Thursday, July 22 at 6 p.m. on Field 1.
The Pool B championship game is Sunday, July 25 at noon EDT on a field to be determined. The Pool B winner faces the Pool A winner in the overall championship game Monday, July 26 at 3 p.m. on a field to be determined.
Broad Ripple Haverford Little League is located at 1339 E. 54th St. in Indianapolis, apparently in back of IPS Butler Lab School 55.
The New Castle 9-11s did not have to maneuver through a District 6 Tournament, as it was the only team in the district to field a team in this category and got an automatic bid to the state tournament in Jasper July 23-28.
Although located in the southwest part of the state, Jasper is in the Eastern Time Zone.
The New Castle 9-11s are in Pool A and open tournament play against New Albany Friday, July 23 at 5 p.m. EDT on Field 1.
Should New Castle get past New Albany, it would play a winners’ bracket game against the District 12 champion Saturday, July 24 at 11 a.m. EDT on Field 2.
If New Castle loses to New Albany, it would face either Georgetown or Munster in a losers’ bracket game Saturday, July 24 at 1 p.m. EDT on Field 2.
The Pool A championship game is Tuesday, July 27 at 6 p.m. EDT on a field to be determined. The Pool A champion will take on the Pool B champion in the overall championship game Wednesday, July 28 at 11 a.m. EDT on a field to be determined.
The Jasper Youth Sports Complex is located at 1401 W. 12th St. on the south side of Jasper, a bit southwest of the Kimball Electronics World Headquarters.
