I was a respectable 10-5 in my predictions for Week 14. I was a very good 7-1 in my picks of high school boys semi-state game winners, but a not-so-hot 3-4 in my predictions of NCAA tournament games.

Chad Niccum’s 12-3 record beat mine in Week 14, and one contestant tied my mark.

Week 15 features all four of the boys high school state championship games that are set for Saturday, April 3 plus one NCAA women’s and men’s national semifinal game apiece for Friday and Saturday, respectively. This will bring the total to 225 games predicted during the 15-week contest. The winner will be announced next week.

Good luck to you on your predictions.

NCAA Women’s National Semifinal Game (Fri.)

Game 1: Connecticut vs. Arizona at San Antonio

The Wildcats knocked the Hoosiers out of the tournament, and I expect the Huskies will knock out the Wildcats.

Boys HS State Championship Games (all games Sat. in Indianapolis)

Game 2: Class A – Kouts vs. Barr-Reeve

The Mustangs are good, but the Vikings are a little better. Barr-Reeve wins.

Game 3: Class 2A – Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian vs. Parke Heritage

The Wolves beat Shenandoah by a much larger margin than did the Braves, but I’m picking Blackhawk Christian to get the victory.

Game 4: Class 3A – Leo vs. Silver Creek

The Dragons have slightly more weapons, so I predict them to edge the Lions.

Game 5: Class 4A – Carmel vs. Lawrence North

I thought Carmel was the best team I’ve seen this season, so I predict the Greyhounds to defeat the Wildcats.

NCAA Men’s National Semifinal Game (Sat.)

Game 6: Houston vs. Baylor at Indianapolis

The Bears were my pick to win it all, and I’ll stick with them. Bears over Cougars.
